Global Justice Clinic professors Meg Satterthwaite and Nikki Reisch and CHRGJ Executive Director Deborah Popowski signed a letter to the Secretary General of the United Nations urging the organization to follow its recent acceptance of responsibility for its role in the Haiti cholera crisis with a response that is robust, transparent, and upholds victims’ human rights. The letter, delivered on September 19th, 2016, was coordinated by Yale’s Global Health Justice Partnership and Yale Law School’s Transnational Development Clinic. It was signed by more than 40 concerned international law, public health, and human rights experts, many of whom have served the United Nations in advisory roles.
