The Global Justice Clinic has a long history of working on issues related to freedom of assembly, speech, and information, stemming originally from work it undertook at the outset of the so-called War on Terror–focused primarily on FOIA litigation aimed at eliciting information about the treatment and transfer of its clients and other detainees–and most recently, focusing on human rights violations committed against the 2011-12 Occupy Wall Street movement.
