Passionate about #taxjustice and #human rights? Angry that big business and wealthy elites are getting away with dodging billions in tax whilst inequality spirals out of control? Got ideas for using human rights law to challenge tax injustice?
Oxfam and the Tax Justice Network have launched a new essay competition. They’re looking for a 3,500 word essay outlining how participants would use human rights law to challenge tax injustice. Entries will be judged by a panel of eminent lawyers chaired by Magdalena Sepúlveda Carmona, a Senior Research Fellow at the United Nations Research Institute for Social Development (UNRISD). The winner will be flown over to London to present their essay at the Tax Justice Network’s research workshop 28-29 April, along with having their entry posted on the Tax Justice Network and Oxfam websites.
Interested? Don’t delay! The deadline for submissions is 13th March, you can find out more info here: www.oxfam.org/taxessay. Good luck!
