The Center for Human Rights and Global Justice seeks a highly motivated individual to join our team as Director of Strategic Initiatives and Outreach.

Reporting to the Center’s directors, the Director of Strategic Initiatives and Outreach will set and guide the strategy for all outreach and communications to develop and consistently articulate the Center for Human Rights and Global Justice’s (CHRGJ) mission. The Director of Strategic Initiatives and Outreach will ensure that CHRGJ is viewed as the primary source, disseminator, and conduit of information (primarily through digital educational content) at the intersection of human rights scholarship and practice. The Director of Strategic Initiatives and Outreach will work closely with the Center’s directors to establish and engage a robust network of partner organizations and alumni, as well as communities of practice.

CHRGJ is seeking an accomplished Director of Strategic Initiatives and Outreach who has at least 5 years of experience with strategic communications and or partnership building, ideally in an “in-house” leadership role within a complex (number and variety of constituents) nonprofit entity. The ability to take knowledge and transform it into exciting and useful messages and disseminate it to the right audiences through the best distribution channels is critical.
