Human Rights Scholar
Biography

Catherine Willis is a first-year JD candidate at NYU working as a Fall 2020 Human Rights Scholar on the Prevention Project. She is also a 1L representative to the International Law Society, a volunteer for I-PREP, and a member of the Law Women Advocacy Committee.

Catherine received her B.A. in International Relations with honors from Boston University, where she concentrated in International Systems and the Middle East and North Africa with a minor in Public Health. Catherine’s honors thesis examined the increase in attacks against aid workers, and she remains interested in the intersection of international law and health and human rights.

During undergrad, Catherine worked as an intern on road safety and climate change for the International Road Federation in Geneva, Switzerland, and as a Refugee Patient Navigator for the Boston Center for Refugee Health and Human Rights at Boston Medical Center. Before coming to NYU Law, Catherine worked as an Attorney Support Assistant at Latham & Watkins LLP in New York.
