On October 21, 2012, the Global Justice Clinic and the Center for Human Rights and Global Justice will be hosting an expert consultation on lethal autonomous weapons systems for Professor Christof Heyns, the UN Special Rapporteur on extrajudicial, summary or arbitrary executions. This consultation will bring together experts on robotics, law, philosophy, international humanitarian law, and human rights law, to brief Professor Heyns on current debates around the development and deployment of lethal autonomous weapons.

The consultation will be hosted by Professor Sarah Knuckey (CHRGJ/NYU), with the assistance of Global Justice Clinic students. This event is by invitation only and is not open to the public.
