NYU team wins multiple awards at International Criminal Court Moot Competition
March 4, 2013

At Pace University this weekend, March 1-3, a team composed of three NYU students (Dennis Ardis, Karin Dryhurst, and Su Mien Tee) and coached by CHRGJ’s Program Officer Danny Auron participated in the North American Round of the International Criminal Court Moot Competition.  Arguing their roles as Prosecutor (Dryhurst), Defense Counsel (Tee), and Representative of the Victims (Ardis), the trio considered the fictional case of rebel leader Womba Tulga, accused of the commission of multiple crimes against humanity.

Facing off against schools from across North America, the team reached the semi-final round of the competition before being eliminated.  The team received the award for Best Prosecutor Brief in the competition as well as for Third-Best Defense Brief.
