Sally Merry to Speak on “Measuring Violence against Women Globally” at Rutgers Colloquium (April 1)
CHRGJ Faculty Director, Professor Sally Engel Merry, will  deliver her talk “Measuring Violence against Women Globally: The Power of Categories” at the Spring 2013  Colloquium on Gender and Violence at Rutgers University, on April 1, from 12-2 PM.
The Colloquium is being hosted by the  Study of Genocide, Conflict Resolution, and Human Rights, in partnership with the Division of Global Affairs. Dr. Merry’s talk is the third of the Gender and Violence Colloquium Series.
Dr. Merry will address the issue of violence against women and how different definitions, categories, and measurements of such violence work as a powerful tool for furthering policies and advocacy.
