On November 12, 2013, Prof. Sarah Knuckey, CHRGJ Research Director, will join a panel at the University of Toronto called “Ending the War on Terror.” Prof. Knuckey led research for the report Living Under Drones: Death, Injury and Trauma to Civilians from US Drone Practices in Pakistan and coordinated the recent International Human Rights Fact-Finding in the Twenty-First Century Conference.
This panel asked the question: “Is it possible to end the ‘war on terror?'” National security and international experts will meet in conversation, inspired by President Obama’s May 2013 remarks at the National Defense University pledging to wind down the “war against Al Qaeda.”
