Profs. Margaret Satterthwaite and Sally Merry Speak at Association of Human Rights Institutes Conference

Professors Margaret Satterthwaite and Sally Merry will speak this week at the Association of Human Rights Institutes 2014 conference: “Human Rights under Pressure: Exploring norms, institutions and policies.” Both professors will participate in Monday’s panel, “Quantifying Development and Human Rights” where Professor Satterthwaite will present her new paper on Post-2015 monitoring of water and sanitation, co-written by CHRGJ scholar in residence Inga Winkler and UN Special Rapporteur on the human right to safe drinking water and sanitation Catarina de Albuquerque. Professor Merry will also participate in the plenary roundtable on the current state of human rights research. Professor Satterthwaite will participate in a second panel where she will discuss the “Promises and Perils of Quantitative Human Rights Research.”
