The Center for Human Rights and Global Justice (CHRGJ) is the hub of human rights study at NYU School of Law, sitting at the physical and conceptual intersection of human rights scholarship and practice. The Center houses the Global Justice Clinic, which engages in work to prevent, challenge, and redress rights violations in situations of global inequality.
The Research Assistant will work closely with the Clinic Director to edit and finalize a report on human rights issues related to Haiti’s emerging mining sector. The report aims to advance transparency, inform the public debate about mining in Haiti, and ensure that mining-affected communities can meaningfully participate in decisions concerning their future. The report is in the final drafting stage and the Research Assistant will be in charge of ensuring the accuracy and factuality of its content.
