Just Security Hosts Event on the Legacy of Obama’s Drone Program

Legacy of Drones

What will be the legacy of President Obama’s drone program? How will the next president use armed drones and targeted killings? What was the political and legal significance of the US government’s targeted killing of American citizen, Anwar al-Awlaki?  Just Security hosted a fascinating event examining these questions at NYU School of Law in October.

Politico Foreign Affairs Correspondent Nahal Toosi moderated the wide-ranging discussion between Scott Shane (New York Times national security reporter and author of Objective Troy); Jameel Jaffer (Executive Editor, Just Security; Deputy Legal Director at the American Civil Liberties Union); and Jeremy Waldron (Founding Editor, Just Security; University Professor at New York University School of Law).

Below you can watch the video of the event.
