On Thursday, October 27, CHRGJ Transitional Justice Project Director Pablo de Greiff will join several experts in a panel titled Time to End Intentional Destruction of Cultural Heritage: A Human Rights Call to Action, a UN General Assembly side event organized by the UN Special Rapporteur in the Field of Cultural Rights Karima Bennoune. De Greiff is UN Special Rapporteur on the Promotion of Truth, Justice, Reparation and Guarantees of Non-Recurrence and a Senior Fellow and Adjunct Professor at NYU School of Law. The event will be feature a performance by Malian artist Yacouba Sissako and a video message from Maestro Placido Domingo, president of Europa Nostra.
