ICC Moot Court Competition: Call for Applications
October 26, 2017

The Center for Human Rights and Global Justice is accepting applications for the NYU Team that will compete in the International Criminal Court (ICC) Moot Court Competition.  Regional rounds will be held at Pace Law School on March 16-18, 2018. Qualifying teams will advance to the finals and argue before ICC judges in The Hague from May 27-June 1, 2018. Travel and accommodation expenses to The Hague will be covered.

International criminal law is a fascinating subject and sits at the confluence of domestic criminal law, general international law, and human rights law. Team members will work on a whole range of issues, sharpen their legal research and writing, gain experience with oral arguments, and work with a fantastic group of people.

While preparation will begin this semester, the submission of written materials will require work over the winter break, and participation in oral arguments will take place during the spring. The international criminal law component can be learned effectively during the process, though previous knowledge is an advantage.

** JD and LLM students currently enrolled at NYU Law are eligible, but only those not admitted to practice law in any jurisdiction. **

** To receive a full application, interested students should send their CV to Bianca Isaias at as soon as possible, as team registration is due next week. **
