Speakers Gabriel Rojas and Mateo Merchán will present their book, “Macrocriminal investigation and restorative approach in Transitional Justice.” The authors will provide insights into the challenges and opportunities of addressing macro criminality in transitional contexts and the role of restorative representation in achieving justice and reconciliation. This talk will focus on the work of the Special Jurisdiction for Peace in Colombia, which the 2016 Peace Accord created with the FARC rebel group. This tribunal prosecutes the most serious crimes during the country’s armed conflict.
