This panel will discuss the legal strategy and the repercussions of this landmark case. This case was filed by several Portuguese children and young people against 33 European states for contributing to the climate crisis and failing to sufficiently act to mitigate climate change, in violation of the plaintiffs’ human rights guaranteed under the European Convention on Human Rights.
