Authoritarianism and democratic backsliding are one of the gravest threats to human rights in the twenty-first century. Innovative and forward-looking solutions are needed to take on this challenging state of affairs. For that reason, the Future of Rights Practicum works with partners around the world and NYU clinical students on initiatives, legal actions, and research that refines and advances new and creative human rights tools, methods, and strategies to take on democratic backsliding and authoritarianism.
