Biography

Baele Hasbrouck is a rising third-year student at the University of California, Irvine School of Law. Prior to law school, Baele graduated from Louisiana State University with a B.A. in Political Communication and double minors in Spanish and Psychology.

Here at CHRGJ, Baele is an intern in the Global Justice Clinic where she combats human rights violations on the following projects: the Legal Empowerment and Immigration, the Caribbean Climate Justice Initiative, and the Human Rights in Haiti’s Emerging Mining Sector.

As an aspiring immigration or human rights attorney, Baele draws from her experiences living abroad throughout South America and the Caribbean. Baele’s fluency in Spanish will help her span jurisdictional borders to further the mission of the Global Justice Clinic.
