Gabriel Mantelli

Gabriel Mantelli is a PhD candidate at the Universidade de São Paulo (USP) in Brazil. His research lies at the junction of critical international law, legal anthropology and human rights with a focus on decolonization and alternatives to development. Besides that, Gabriel has been working for several years in Brazil on environmental law, climate change and human rights as a lawyer and program officer at Conectas Direitos Humanos. He is lecturer at the Universidade São Judas Tadeu (USJT) and Escola Superior de Engenharia e Gestão (ESEG) in São Paulo, Brazil. He holds an LL.B. from the Universidade de São Paulo (USP) and an LL.M. in Law and Development from the Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV) (distinguished honors). During his master’s program, he was visiting training fellow at Kent Law School (KLS).
