Biography

Julia Krusen is a rising second-year JD Candidate at the University of Pennsylvania Law School. Julia serves on the board of several student groups, including the International Refugee Assistance Project (IRAP) and the International Human Rights Advocates pro bono group. She is also a member of Penn’s Mock Trial Team and Boxing Club and is a 2019-2020 Pro Bono Volunteer of the Year. She will spend the summer working on accountability for the U.S. rendition program and the human rights advocacy project.

Julia holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and History from the University of Virginia. Before coming to law school, Julia was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Kosovo where she worked as an English as a Foreign Language Teacher. She also coordinated and implemented a national gender equality and girls’ empowerment program.
