Laura Figueroa

Laura Figueroa is a research assistant for the Caribbean Climate Justice project with the Global Justice Clinic. She obtained her JD from NYU in 2021, where she participated in the Clinic as a student and helped lead the first year of the Caribbean Climate Justice project. Prior to law school, Laura worked as a Peace Corps volunteer in Paraguay, where she led community-based initiatives to strengthen financial literacy and entrepreneurship skills for adults and youth. She has worked with organizations in New York, South Korea, and Germany on issues of economic justice, international education, and community-based economic development. Laura holds B.A.’s in Economics and International Relations from Stanford University.
