Pamela Mercado

Pamela is Administrative Aide for the Center for Human Rights and Global Justice. In addition to working full-time at CHRGJ, she is a part-time student at Fordham University School of Law. She was born in the Dominican Republic and grew up in the South Bronx where her experience of social and economic disparities inspired her to pursue a legal career. Pamela holds a B.A. in pre-law studies from the City College of New York, where she was recognized on the Dean’s List and was an active member of Phi Beta Kappa. Pamela came to CHRGJ from the Bronx District Attorney’s Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Bureau, where she worked as a Legal Assistant from 2014-2016 and developed an interest in family law and juvenile justice.
