Biography

Rebecca Kahn is a JD candidate at NYU School of Law with interests in technology law and policy, particularly as it intersects with societal equity, consumer protection, and civil rights. At NYU Law, she is a member of the Furman Public Policy Scholarship Program, a Student Fellow for the Information Law Institute, and a board member for Rights over Tech. Prior to law school, she served as a Policy Advisor for U.S. Senator Alex Padilla. Previously, she has also worked as a cybersecurity/IT specialist for a California congressional campaign, as a legislative staffer in the U.S. House of Representatives, and for EqualAI, a nonprofit focused on reducing bias in AI. She graduated from Princeton University with an A.B. in Sociology and certificates in Portuguese, Creative Writing, and Entrepreneurship (focused on design-thinking for social innovation). She lived in northeast Brazil for a year, and originally hails from Ohio.
