Reshma Mathews
Junior Research Scholar, Human Rights Resilience Project

Reshma Mathews graduated from NYU School of Law in May 2018 with an LLM in International Legal Studies. She received her LLB degree from Christ University, India and also holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Child Rights Law from the National Law School of India University, India. Prior to her studies at NYU Law, Reshma worked with a corporate and tax consultancy firm, before moving to volunteer with Human Rights Law Network (HRLN), an NGO that works on access to justice issues in India. At HRLN she was involved in litigation, advocacy, legal training, and empowerment on issues relating to women’s rights, child rights, indigenous rights, and LGBTQI rights.

At NYU Reshma specialized in international human rights law and worked as a researcher for the digital surveillance project with the Robert L. Bernstein Institute for Human Rights and on a short-term pro bono intensive research project with UN Women. She is currently a Junior Research Scholar for the CHRGJ’s Human Rights Resilience Project.
